Technical Skills:
- 1v1 Attacking skills – introduce fakes, feints, and cuts
- Dribbling for possession à shielding
- Dribbling for speed
- Turning with the ball
- Introduce push pass
- Striking the ball and shooting with laces (introduce)
- 1v1 defensive stance
- Block tackle
- Receiving ground balls with the inside of the foot
- Open to the field
- 1st touch moving
- GK: Ready stance, how to hold ball after a save, diamond grip, catching, punting, introduction to taking goal kicks
Tactical Ideas:
- 1v1 defending
- Approach to 1st attacker
- When to tackle
- 1v1 attacking
- When to take a player on
- Dribble at defender
- Playing away from pressure

- Receiving and Turning
- Receiving ground balls with the outside of the foot
- Receiving balls out of the air with the instep and inside/outside of foot (wedge)
- Receiving balls out of the air with the chest and thigh
- Introduce additional feints (let’s get specific)
- Heading
- Crossing
Tactical Ideas
- Positional interchange
- 2v2 Defending (introduce second (cover) defender)
- 2v2 Attacking à Combination Play (overlap, takeover, wall pass)
- Thirds of the field and Risk vs. Safety

Technical Skills:
- Reinforce all previous techniques
- Reinforce heading à to score goals and for clearance
- Passing with the outside of the foot
- Chipping (to be introduced in a passing practice… not to be a session of its own)
- Different types of volleys: Half-volley, instep volley, inside of foot volley
- GK: footwork; W grip; bowling; low dives & forward diving; angle play; near post play; introduce deflecting and boxing; sidewinder kick
Tactical Ideas:
- Switching the point of attack
- Different types of runs (checking, forward bent, diagonal)
- 4v4 attacking (penetration, width, support)
- Stretching a team high and wide
- Providing an angle to receive a ball
- Possession

Technical Skills:
- Reinforce all previous techniques
- Reinforce chipping to pass and score
- Heading to pass
- Bending the ball (to be introduced within a passing practice… not to be aa session topic of its own)
- Shooting with a variety of surfaces including: outside of foot, instep, toe, inside of foot
- GK: far post play; medium and high diving; deflecting over the crossbar and around the posts; boxing and catching crosses; half-volley (drop kick); kick saves; long over arm throws; saving penalty kicks
Tactical Ideas:
- Balancing defenders (3rd defenders)
- 3rd attacker runs (unbalancing attackers)
- Possession for penetration
- Recovery runs for defenders
- Game management
- Restarts
