YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COACHING STAFF

Sean Steele
Sean Steele is the director of coaching for Oshkosh United Soccer Club where he oversees the development of all coaches and players. Sean also coaches two teams within United, a U11 and U17 girls team. In addition to his club coaching, Sean currently is the goalkeeper coach at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for the men's and women's programs. He also is a staff member of the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association where he assists with ODP training and teaches coaching licensing courses.

Sean has coached youth soccer for ten years, at all levels, including director of coaching for a recreational soccer club, Tri-City Soccer, assistant girl's varsity coach for Cortez-Montezuma High School, girl's JV coach for Oshkosh West, numerous Oshkosh United teams, and a U6 Oshkosh Youth Soccer Club team.

Sean grew up in Oshkosh where he has donned uniforms for Oshkosh Youth Soccer Club, Oshkosh United, Oshkosh West High School, and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Sean is currently pursuing his master's degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Matt Callahan
Matt Callahan has been coaching youth soccer for over 10 years. Matt currently holds a United States Youth Soccer Association National "Youth" License, which is the highest license available to youth soccer coaches in the country. Matt also holds a United States Soccer Federation National "B" License.

Currently, Matt works for the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association. In that role he teaches coaching classes to beginning youth coaches and also coaches for the Wisconsin Olympic Development Program. Matt is also the varsity boys' coach and jv girls' at Oshkosh West High School.

Toby Bares
Toby Bares,in his 23rd year as head men’s soccer coach at UW-Oshkosh, is a highly renowned youth soccer clinician and is one of a few coaches in the country to serve as a certified youth soccer instructor on both state and national levels. 

Coach Bares has been recognized as an NCAA National Coach of the Yearand holds the top coaching credentials from both the USSF and NSCAA. The Titan mentor also serves as a university administrator.

Erin Coppernoll (Leinweber)
Erin Leinweber, in just her third season as head women’s coach at UW-Oshkosh led her squad to the WIAC conference finals last fall and an NCAA tournament berth.  Coach Leinweber is a highly regarded camp clinician and has been a guest instructor at soccer camps nationwide.

OU YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Oshkosh United is pleased to announce its Fall 2008 Youth Development Program.

Running Saturdays from August 23 - September 27, the program will introduce youth players (U6, U8, & U10) to the United model of soccer. The program is built around United's talented coaching staff and follow the recommendations of the USSF and NSCAA.
